The RS6700 helps range phenomenologists solve complex engineering problems, particularly in the military/aerospace communities. FLIR™s powerful software packages and software development kits (SDKs) allow RS6700 users to measure, characterize, and otherwise describe phenomena such as distance to a target object, its size, shape, inherent heat energy, and temperature. Typical applications include target recognition and detection, infrared countermeasures, plume and atmospheric phenomenology, and various types of non-destructive testing.
The cooled InSb detector of the RS6700 provides a full-frame resolution of 640x512 pixels, and allows adjustable full-frame rates from 0.0015Hz to 125Hz. By using the camera™s windowing feature, partial frame sizes enable frames rates that exceed 4000Hz for superior stop-motion image capture. A high speed 50-megapixel clock and 14-bit A/D converter are combined with adjustable integration times and triggering, and selectable preset sequencing for maximum flexibility and performance.
