The CCD 485 is a 4096 x 4097 element solid state charge coupled device (CCD) full frame sensor. This medium format CCD is intended for high resolution scientific, industrial and commercial digital imaging applications. With a 6-cm x 6-cm size, it is an ideal replacement for medium format film. The CCD 485 is organized as an array of 4096 horizontal by 4097 vertical imaging elements and utilizes a multi-port readout architecture. The pixel has a three-phase architecture with a 15µm pitch and 100% fill factor. The imaging area may be operated in either buried channel mode for high dynamic range or multi-pinned phase (MPP) mode for extremely low dark current. The device is divided into four quadrants and each quadrant may be clocked independently or in concert. The CCD 485 may also be clocked such that the full array is read out from any one of the four output amplifiers.
