The RDG-08B has been developed for the mobile communication equipment market and Bluetooth-compatible headsets that are manufactured small and thin in size. Star applied the size reduction technique it has amassed over many years to realize a diameter as small as 8mm with a dynamic electromagnetic design. Its 8mm diameter round-type meets the space-saving requirements of the mobile market. Specifically designed to employ a highly reliable coil spring in the contact section, the installed height is reduced to approximately 2.4mm. The thin contact section has become a standard feature of Star Micronics’ industry-leading acoustic products.

The RDG-08B is designed to keep stabilized contact for extended periods of use and reproduces a sufficient sound pressure level over a wide band to support overseas mobile phone requirements – GSM mask. The RDG-08B also meets the European Harmful Substances Regulations (RoHS).
